This month we are focussing on 'Meals with Jesus from Luke'. On Sunday 17th January the church was set out as a cafe with tea and toast served before the service.

Alan Broadcasts on BBC for World AIDS Day |

Christian HIV/AIDS Alliance (CHAA) Vice Chair, and Vicar of St Philips, Rev Alan Bain, broadcast on eight BBC Radio stations across the UK to mark World AIDS day 2009, speaking of the work of CHAA member ACET UK and also the need to be vigilent because of the 8% rise in infections in the UK. Our Vicar Alan has been with Czech friend, Daniel Hejzlar, in the Ukraine, Moldova and Transnistria. They have been looking at setting up an "English Camp" for next year and working with ACET (Aids Care Education and Training) in Odessa. For details and to follow Alan's Blog of the visit click here.

Youth Groups spend weekend away |
|
|
Over 50 young people and nine leaders from St Philip's church went on a weekend for the Pathfinder and CYFA youth groups. Pathfinders, ( 11-13 year olds) slept overnight in the Old Deanery in Wells, While CYFA (13-18) spent the weekend near Axminster. For more details of St Philips youth groups see the menu opposite.

On September 27th church members invited friends and family back to church.
The whole day was a great time to welcome old friends back to church.
